Crushed Stone

Rohrer’s Quarry owes its abundant supply of quality stone to our location in the middle of some of the largest surface limestone deposits in Pennsylvania. The solid, confirmed reserves in this single location are sufficient to continue Rohrer’s service well in to the future.

Rohrer’s crushes products that meet specifications of Pennsylvania and surrounding states, and satisfy a wide variety of building and road construction needs. From large stone for stream bank stabilization to state-approved limestone sand for septic drain fields, in-house testing and careful monitoring assure the quality of each product.

We make sure we’re operating with the best equipment and technology available. Constant updating and careful maintenance ensure high production levels and a reliable supply. With primarily a single shift operating, we produce more than a million tons of material in a year.

Of course, production is nothing if not done safely. Rohrer’s maintains a fine safety record through a serious commitment to safe work practices and annual training in all areas of safety by certified staff. Rohrer’s Safety Committee meets regularly to monitor the safety incentive program, review issues, makes recommendations for improvements and rewards safe behavior.

Rohrer’s fleet of single, tandem and tri-axle trucks provides local delivery to jobs of any size. Additional trucks can be called in from many nearby contract haulers to assist with very large jobs and to extend Rohrer’s neighbor-to-neighbor service to Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia.
